mitchells_sg1 | Seach and a Challenge

I'm not completely certain this is allowed, so if its not, I understand if this post is taken down. Now that that's over...

Since this is a community that is devoted to the greatness of Cam and subsequencially his role in fanfiction, I wanted to know if anyone knew of a longer fic involving him and Daniel, friendship or relationship centered. There are tons of brillent ficlets running around, but I'm in the mood to read something at least slightly lengthy.

I also have a little fic challenge... behind the cut below.

Use the scene below to showcase a developing realtionship, friend or romantic (pref rom), between Cameron and Daniel. I would like for it to be slightly longer than just a ficlet, but I'd be content with anything. The fic doesn't have to actually involve the scene, just incorporate the feeling in the scene (aka Daniel not being used to people being all that interested, like Cam genuinely seems to be here). Thanks, ya'll

Here's the scene:
Mitchell makes his little observation - "Room full of gold and jewels and Dr. Daniel Jackson finds the one book."

Daniel says nothing, doesn't even look up. It washes right over him.

Mitchell asks, "So what's it about?"

Daniel tells him it's a story, written like fiction, and then...just keeps on reading...silently...to himself.

Mitchell has to prompt him - "Once upon a time..." - before it sinks in that Mitchell is genuinely interestd and Daniel does tell him "what it's about."
